The 9 Km Loop with 140m elevation.

Start the race as normal, but when you get to the river, turn right (north) and go backwards on leg 5. Through the bushes, past the dog park fence, cross the road at the wood chips, and cross it again to go north along the dog park bypass. You are now on leg 3 and follow it to the Alexander bathrooms. Normally you would get off the shale trail at 50m, but continue straight on the shale trail to join leg 5. Follow leg 5 as normal, back to Softball Valley start/finish line. You will now complete 3 laps of the course for your 100 miles. The 50.5km course will result in 151.5 km. This 9km loop will bring you to 161 km or 100 miles.
